What you will do

• Lead end-to-end design and validation of custom tooling, test fixtures, and jigs for NPI and high-volume electronics manufacturing.
• Translate mechanical and process requirements into CAD models, detailed drawings, and technical documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and provide DFM/DFT feedback for new product development.
• Specify manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, injection molding, and sheet metal for tooling applications.
• Collaborate with global Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners to support tool release, prototyping, and pilot builds.
• Create and manage BOMs, ECOs, and revision histories within PLM systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical NPI or Design Engineer with deep expertise in DFM.
• 1–3 years of experience implementing liquid cooling thermal solutions (cold plates, fittings, CDUs, AALCs).
• Strong working knowledge of PLM and command of ECO/MCO/DEV/PCN processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot electromechanical systems using structured methodologies like 8D.
• Must be based in Santa Clara, CA, USA.
