What you will do

• Lead technology evaluations, PoCs, and vendor selection for enterprise data and AI platforms.
• Design end-to-end enterprise data solutions utilizing Azure, Databricks, and modern data management technologies.
• Provide architecture leadership to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-effective implementations.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical architecture and implementation plans.
• Design and optimize enterprise data pipelines and platform performance.
• Develop comprehensive architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology architecture.
• Deep expertise with Azure Data Factory (ADF), ADLS Gen2, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Cosmos DB.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, including Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, PowerShell, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing Lakehouse and Medallion architectures, and knowledge of TOGAF or DAMA-DMBOK.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Houston, TX.

• Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate certification.
• Databricks Certifications.
• Experience in large enterprise cloud and data modernization initiatives.
