What you will do

• Partner with customers to design scalable data architectures using Databricks technology and services.
• Develop technical account strategies to grow platform usage and establish Lakehouse as the standard architecture.
• Build and present reference architectures and demo applications to prospects to prove value and land new use cases.
• Consult on big data architectures, data engineering pipelines, and data science/machine learning projects.
• Promote Databricks-inspired open-source projects like Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow through community engagement.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and executive leadership to represent customer needs.

Requirements

• 4+ years in customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting roles.
• Expertise in Big Data (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka), Data Warehousing (SQL, ETL), or Data Science/ML (pandas, scikit-learn).
• Fluency in SQL and database technology.
• Development and debugging experience in Python, Scala, Java, or R.
• Must be based in the United States and available for regional travel up to 30%.

Nice to have

• Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research.
