What you will do

• Design and develop enterprise AI applications using LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) via Amazon Bedrock.
• Implement AI-assisted search, summarization, and question-answering capabilities for clinical environments.
• Build secure RESTful APIs and cloud-native backend services to integrate AI with existing healthcare systems.
• Apply prompt engineering and source-grounding strategies to ensure AI accuracy and clinical relevance.
• Ensure compliance with Federal cybersecurity, privacy, and AI governance requirements (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, clinicians, and Government stakeholders in an Agile lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise software application development.
• 5+ years of experience building cloud-native applications on AWS or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated experience developing Generative AI solutions, specifically with Amazon Bedrock or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Public Trust clearance.
• Must have valid US work authorization; sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting the VA, DoD, or other Federal healthcare organizations.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, CCD) and clinical terminology (SNOMED CT, ICD-10).
• Knowledge of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF).
• AWS certifications in Developer, AI, or Machine Learning.
