Senior AI Engineer, Real-World Data

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy agent-based AI systems that improve clinical data extraction quality and reliability.
• Own the technical design and delivery of multi-step agent workflows.
• Integrate AI capabilities into production platforms while improving performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with clinical AI, engineering, and product teams to define priorities, success metrics, and phased releases.
• Develop evaluation and monitoring approaches to measure impact and support safe deployment in a regulated environment.
• Provide technical leadership through documentation, design decisions, and pragmatic tradeoffs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial experience with production systems at scale.
• 3+ years building and shipping AI/ML applications in production, including LLM-based systems and multi-step or agent-based workflows.
• Strong hands-on Python and object-oriented programming skills, with experience in testing, code review, workflow orchestration, and agile delivery.
• Experience designing and operating AI systems in cloud environments; AWS is strongly preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, production support, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, Docker, and Linux.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Advanced degree or background in clinical or life sciences.
• Experience with retrieval-based or document-centric AI systems.
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry.
