What you will do

• Define and own standard integration patterns between products and the Epic platform, including FHIR-based integrations and AI agent use cases.
• Serve as the senior technical point of contact for Epic-related client engagements and support sales engineering.
• Lead discovery, integration design, and technical delivery to accelerate new-client onboarding.
• Track the Epic release calendar and translate platform updates into engineering implications.
• Ensure all integrations meet HIPAA, PHI-handling, and HITRUST compliance requirements.
• Enable the broader engineering organization through reference architectures and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in healthcare systems integration with hands-on expertise in the Epic platform.
• Deep knowledge of Epic Interconnect, Bridges, and patient communication tools.
• Strong command of interoperability standards including HL7 FHIR (R4), SMART on FHIR, HL7 v2, C-CDA, and REST APIs.
• Expertise in patient privacy, HIPAA, and the handling of protected health information (PHI).
• Experience in client-facing solution architecture, discovery, and technical leadership.
• Must be based in Newark, New Jersey

• Epic certifications.
• Experience working with an Epic marketplace or partner-program vendor.
• Exposure to agentic AI within clinical or patient-engagement workflows.
• Experience with programmatic patient outreach and engagement platforms.
