What you will do
- Lead M&A transactions across sourcing, due diligence, structuring, and closing.
- Lead strategic and venture investments from origination through execution and portfolio management.
- Support strategic projects, including new market entries and internal strategic reviews.
- Conduct sector, market, competitive, customer cohort, and unit economics analysis.
- Build and analyse operating models, DCFs, valuation models, and returns analyses.
- Prepare investment materials for the Investment Committee, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors while managing relationships with banks, advisors, targets, and industry participants.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or strategy consulting.
- Strong track record executing M&A transactions and investments.
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills.
- Proven ability to lead due diligence workstreams across financial, legal, commercial, technology, and regulatory areas.
- Strong communication, organisation, stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and strategic thinking.
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university; a master’s degree is preferred.
Nice to have
- In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, odds calculation, betting types, and market trends.
- Experience in online gaming or casino, technology, sports betting, or entertainment sectors.
- Knowledge of gambling regulations, compliance requirements, and customer retention strategies.
- Fluency in English; additional European or African languages are advantageous.
