Salary: C$95,800 – C$153,000

What you will do

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from initial design to customer delivery.
• Implement cross-platform software and services for embedded CPUs, SoCs, and optical technologies.
• Develop and maintain drivers, diagnostics, and applications using C, C++, and Python.
• Apply Linux kernel, TCP/IP stack, and memory management concepts to improve system throughput.
• Debug software defects and analyze performance across product families.
• Develop scripts and test utilities to enhance engineering efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience with embedded C and C++ programming.
• Proven experience with Linux kernel driver and user-space driver development.
• Strong background in BSP, security, and board bring-up.
• Solid understanding of structured programming and design concepts.
• Must be able to work on-site in Ottawa 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) concepts.
• Experience developing drivers in Zephyr.
• Ability to interpret CPU hardware architectures and timing diagrams.
• Familiarity with datacom/telecom protocols like DWDM, OTN, Ethernet, and MPLS.
• Exposure to Agile or Waterfall development methodologies.
