Senior/Staff Backend Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications to meet stakeholder needs.
• Co-own service architecture, ensuring resilience and robustness using Domain-Driven Design principles.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the direction of banking products.
• Write high-quality, well-documented code while focusing on system performance.
• Improve internal processes and systems using lean methodologies like Kaizen.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a software engineer with proficiency in Golang.
• Fluent in English.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Germany, France, Italy, Serbia, Portugal, or Spain.
• Experience with architectural patterns for large, high-scale web applications.
• Pragmatic, product-driven mindset with a focus on delivering customer value.
• Commitment to best practices in code quality, testing, and peer reviews.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ruby, React, Kotlin, or Swift.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.
• Experience working in event-driven architectures.
