Senior Solutions Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Senior Solutions Engineer (AI): Designing and demonstrating enterprise data, machine learning, and AI platform solutions with an accent on Generative AI, predictive analytics, and enterprise MLOps. Focus on building RAG architectures, end-to-end ML pipelines, and translating complex technical concepts into strategic business value.

What you will do

• Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales for enterprise data, machine learning, and AI platform solutions.
• Design customer solutions based on reference architectures such as Open Data Lakehouse and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Demonstrate data engineering pipelines, model training/deployment workflows, and Generative AI features.
• Partner with Account Managers to align technical value with business goals and drive successful sales.
• Advocate for customer needs by providing feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams.
• Participate in external evangelism through conferences, meetups, webinars, and blogs.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in customer-facing pre-sales roles focused on big data platforms or advanced analytics.
• Fluent German language skills.
• Hands-on experience with Big Data ecosystems (e.g., Apache Spark, Iceberg, Hive, Hadoop).
• Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain/LlamaIndex) and GenAI architectures.
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Unix/Linux environments.
• Must be based in Switzerland; this role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Formal cloud or AI/ML certifications.
• Deep understanding of enterprise data governance, security, and privacy compliance for AI models.
