What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise AI solutions utilizing LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Design secure AI pipelines leveraging Amazon Bedrock, vector search, and prompt orchestration within AWS.
• Define strategies for model selection, retrieval optimization, and monitoring to prevent data drift and hallucinations.
• Ensure solutions align with healthcare interoperability standards including FHIR, HL7, and CCD.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement Responsible AI, source traceability, and Federal governance requirements.
• Mentor software engineers and provide architectural guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience designing enterprise software solutions.
• 5+ years of experience designing cloud-native architectures utilizing AWS.
• Demonstrated experience architecting Generative AI solutions and utilizing Amazon Bedrock.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Public Trust clearance.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or Department of Defense (DoD).
• Knowledge of NIST AI Risk Management Framework, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
• AWS certifications in Solutions Architect, AI, or Machine Learning.
• Familiarity with clinical terminology standards like SNOMED CT, ICD-10, and LOINC.
