What you will do

• Lead technical initiatives for the Debit Cards engineering team, managing the full card lifecycle.
• Design and build robust, scalable backend solutions for card transactions and management.
• Modernize existing card systems into a new event-driven architecture using cloud-native patterns.
• Collaborate with architects, security, product, and operations teams to ensure system reliability.
• Integrate with 3rd party payment processors, 3D Secure systems, and MasterCard.
• Leverage AI tools to improve team velocity and code quality.

Requirements

• Must be based in Ukraine
• 5+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js (C# is a plus).
• 5+ years of experience with advanced SQL (MSSQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
• 3+ years of experience with NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB.
• Proven experience with AWS, Containers, and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture and message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong understanding of microservices development.
