Salary: $290,000 - $360,000 (Fixed) + Equity

What you will do

• Lead the research, design, and deployment of ML systems powering 10B+ annual transactions.
• Optimize auction and decisioning logic to maximize value across the multi-sided marketplace.
• Prototype new modeling approaches and conduct rigorous applied ML research.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate complex business needs into practical ML solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to a small team of specialists and set standards for architectural best practices.

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent in CS, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field specializing in ML, AI, or Information Retrieval.
• 10+ years of industry experience building production-grade ML systems.
• Deep expertise in at least two areas: ML for Ads/Ecommerce, Deep Learning (Transformers, GNNs), Bayesian Modeling, RL, or Price Optimization.
• Experience leading PhD-level scientists and engineers on complex projects.
• Must be based in or be able to work from Austin, Texas.
