What you will do

• Develop foundation models for content understanding using deep learning and multimodal learning to analyze video, audio, and text.
• Build time sequence foundation models to understand and predict customer behavior patterns and viewing trajectories.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to design, implement, and launch end-to-end solutions across Prime Video experiences.
• Design and conduct offline and online (A/B) experiments to evaluate proposed solutions through data analysis.
• Communicate technical ideas to stakeholders and publish research findings in top conferences and journals.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD, or a Master's degree combined with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Proficiency in programming with Python, Java, or C++.
• Strong expertise in neural deep learning methods and machine learning.
• Must be based in Sunnyvale, New York, or Seattle.

Nice to have

• Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, TensorFlow, NumPy, or SciPy.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop and Spark.
