Salary: $238,000 - $298,000 USD

What you will do

• Champion the autonomy strategy and technical roadmap in collaboration with executive leadership.
• Lead and mentor a team of autonomy engineering managers and engineers to drive professional success and technical excellence.
• Deliver robust advances to MPDM technology, including simulations, reward functions, and stable control algorithms.
• Work cross-functionally with vehicle engineering, software, and operations to deploy and troubleshoot autonomy solutions.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve autonomy performance.
• Oversee the hiring and talent development process for the autonomy organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a highly technical field (robotics, CS, engineering, physics) or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software-focused engineering experience in mission-critical robotics or autonomous systems.
• Proven experience leading a team of 10+ engineers.
• Demonstrated success solving complex autonomy problems as a principal investigator or director-level leader.
• Previous experience as an individual contributor developing and deploying autonomous vehicle solutions.

Nice to have

• PhD or Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• Direct experience developing or utilizing MPDM technology.
• Deep understanding of state-of-the-art autonomy and related research fields.
