What you will do

• Administer and support open-source database platforms including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Amazon Aurora.
• Ensure performance, availability, and scalability of production and non-production databases.
• Perform routine database maintenance including vacuuming, indexing, archiving, patching, and upgrades.
• Implement replication and data movement solutions using Tungsten Replicator and AWS DMS.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code and automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to optimize database design and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in database administration focusing on open-source technologies.
• Expertise in MySQL 8.0, PostgreSQL 17, MariaDB 10.6, and Amazon Aurora in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS database services including RDS, EC2, Aurora, and Redshift.
• Proven experience designing high availability architectures and disaster recovery planning.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, shell scripting, and Linux operating systems.
• Must be based in or be able to work hybrid in Atlanta, GA.

• Experience leveraging modern AI tools and prompt engineering to enhance database operations.
