Strength & Conditioning Intern (Sports Performance)

Strength & Conditioning Intern (Sports Performance): Supporting the Medical and Performance department in developing strength training and pre-training protocols for youth soccer players with an accent on injury reduction and individual performance. Focus on workload monitoring using GPS, designing conditioning programs, and analyzing physical performance KPIs.

Location: Must be based within 60 miles of Whippany, New Jersey

What you will do

• Design and administer strength training sessions and pre-training activation protocols
• Implement strength and conditioning programs to improve player performance and reduce injury risk
• Monitor player workload and performance using live GPS systems during training and games
• Develop late-stage return-to-play sessions in collaboration with medical staff
• Analyze physical performance data and provide detailed reports to coaching staff

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in sports exercise science, strength and conditioning, or a related field
• Must live within 60 miles of Whippany, New Jersey
• Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Basic knowledge and understanding of soccer
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Availability on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons/evenings
