What you will do
- Lead the analysis and interpretation of cancer's molecular signatures and stay current with field advancements.
- Develop and guide models that characterize biological changes associated with cancer.
- Execute rigorous computational analyses on WGS, WGBS, RNA-seq, and protein quantitation data.
- Design novel statistical models for the evaluation and modeling of cancer biology and progression.
- Collaborate with molecular biologists to refine wet lab experiments and development scientists to productize models.
- Support the professional development and career growth of cross-functional computational biologists.
Requirements
- PhD in computational biology, cancer biology, statistics, bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
- 8+ years of post-PhD experience in biological discovery and product development, preferably in cancer diagnostics.
- Deep expertise in cancer and molecular biology applied to computational diagnostics.
- Extensive experience with genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics (e.g., Methyl-seq, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq).
- Proficiency in Python (Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow) or R/C++.
- Must be based in the US for remote work arrangements.
Nice to have
- Experience with sequence-to-function models predicting functional biology from raw DNA, RNA, or protein sequences.
- Experience applying single-cell genomic or transcriptomic models to translate heterogeneity into signatures.
- Experience modeling cell-free DNA (cfDNA) signals for early disease detection.
