Location: Hybrid; must reside within a reasonable commute of hirify.global’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California. Regular travel (up to 20%) is required.

Salary: $112,000 - $168,000

What you will do

• Train customers on hirify.global HiFi sequencing data characteristics and SMRT Link software.
• Serve as the primary bioinformatics contact to help customers understand their sequencing data.
• Support sales teams during scientific presentations and technical customer meetings.
• Provide critical customer feedback to product marketing and software development teams.
• Assist with software installations and the roll-out of new software versions.
• Collaborate with FAS, service engineers, and tech support for new instrument installations.

Requirements

• MSc/PhD in bioinformatics, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in bioinformatics or tech support within the life sciences industry.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and bash scripting.
• Strong knowledge of Unix systems administration and high-throughput DNA sequencing pipelines.
• Experience with sequence alignment, variant calling, de novo assembly, and transcript mapping.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and reside near an international airport.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global-specific data and tools.
• Knowledge of workflow managers like WDL, Snakemake, or Nextflow.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, specifically Salesforce.
• Wet lab experience and knowledge of library preparation protocols.
