Associate, Loan Distribution Group (Capital Markets)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid schedule with 4 days per week in the office

Salary: $160,000–$215,000 base salary annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus.

ING’s Americas Wholesale Banking division provides financial products and services to domestic and international corporate and institutional clients.

What you will do

• Monitor loan market trends, participants, pricing, terms, and market depth, translating findings into updates for internal and external stakeholders.
• Advise clients on market conditions, financing structures, and syndication strategies for syndicated loan capital markets transactions.
• Originate, structure, and execute syndicated senior and subordinated loans with sector teams.
• Manage transaction execution, including term sheets, mandate letters, loan documentation, confidential information memoranda, lender presentations, and Q&A.
• Prepare loan market analysis, credit structure opinions, sell-down strategies, pricing recommendations, and materials for internal approvals.
• Build relationships with financial institutions, organize bank meetings and lender calls, support client servicing, and ensure policy compliance and accurate revenue reporting.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in loan syndications, leveraged finance, or high-yield debt capital markets, preferably in an investor-facing environment.
• Strong understanding of loan capital markets, loan investors, financing structures, and leveraged finance or private credit.
• Strong oral and written presentation, communication, networking, and persuasion skills.
• Familiarity with legal documentation and complex financing structures, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without work restrictions and be able to work in the New York City office 4 days per week.
• Must be able to travel and successfully complete the FINRA SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 examinations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bloomberg and other market data sources.
• Additional leveraged finance, private credit, or capital markets experience.
