What you will do

• Own three annual staff retreats end-to-end, including venue negotiation, budgets, travel, and on-site support.
• Plan and execute programmatic events such as expert symposiums, workshops, and speaker sessions for research teams.
• Coordinate logistics for podcast recordings, including scheduling and venue management.
• Develop repeatable processes, templates, and checklists to scale the events function.
• Source and manage external vendors and contractors for event support.
• Design the overall attendee experience to ensure participants remain energized and productive.

Requirements

• Based in the Bay Area with the ability to travel within the USA and internationally.
• Proven experience organizing multi-day events (retreats, conferences, or workshops) end-to-end.
• Two or more years of professional work experience in complex, multi-faceted roles.
• Professional level English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Strong organizational skills and a conscientious approach to detail.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
