Analytics Engineer (SQL/dbt)

What you will do

• Build and own dashboards and self-serve analytics to drive strategic decisions across the company.
• Partner with engineering to design and implement the data warehouse and BI stack (Snowflake, Sigma).
• Define key metrics and data models for operational and financial performance.
• Prepare and structure datasets that will power AI and machine learning initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and finance teams to deliver insights.
• Establish data quality standards and documentation for the foundational data team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Economics.
• Deep SQL expertise for writing complex queries and optimizing performance.
• Significant experience with dbt and architecting data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Hands-on experience with modern BI tools.
• Must be based in New York City for hybrid office attendance.

Nice to have

• Programming skills in Python or Javascript for automation and data manipulation.
• Exposure to the waste, logistics, or industrial sectors.
• Experience preparing data for machine learning or analytics-driven product features.
• Background in both operational and financial analytics.
