What you will do

• Own performance tuning and query optimization on the StarRocks serving layer using AI-assisted tools.
• Build and harden data pipelines feeding government cloud investigations with a focus on reliability and compliance.
• Reduce single-point-of-failure risk by supporting incident response and troubleshooting in a regulated environment.
• Use AI-assisted debugging and log analysis to triage and resolve production issues rapidly.
• Collaborate closely with Forward Deployed Engineering and Product teams to maintain platform parity.
• Participate in team syncs, sprint planning, and retrospectives to improve infrastructure and compliance.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required due to government cloud data access restrictions.
• Hands-on experience with distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems such as StarRocks, Trino, or ClickHouse.
• Experience in query tuning, performance optimization, and data pipeline reliability.
• Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) for debugging, code review, and documentation.
• Independent ownership mindset with ability to operate production infrastructure and take on-call responsibility.
