What you will do

• Design and ship low-latency, high-reliability APIs and services for Leaderboards and hirify.global data products.
• Transform novel evaluation methods into durable products, including scoring pipelines and data models.
• Implement enterprise-grade backend features such as usage metering, RBAC, multi-tenancy, and audit logging.
• Own the data architecture to ensure evaluation data is queryable, consistent, and fast.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers and researchers to unify public and private data architectures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience building product-facing APIs and data systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Go (preferred) and expertise in API design.
• Solid fundamentals in Postgres, Redis, and message queues.
• Experience integrating payments, authentication, and data pipelines into coherent products.
• Must be based in the Bay Area for a hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM provider APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) including streaming and token accounting.
• Background in ML infrastructure, model serving, or evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with SSO, RBAC, and billing infrastructure (e.g., Stripe, Metronome, Orb).
• Familiarity with the modern AI stack (vLLM, LiteLLM, LangChain).
