Quality Engineer

TL;DR

Quality Engineer (QMS/Quality): Establish quality standards and KPIs, develop and implement an effective QMS, and lead cross-functional quality investigations to drive RCA and corrective actions. What you will do

• Establish quality standards and KPIs for products and processes.
• Develop and implement an effective QMS across the organization.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (HW, SW, component engineering, MFG, failure analysis, supply chain) to identify and mitigate quality issues and risks.
• Develop and enhance supplier audit processes and contribute to supplier SBR/QBR.
• Lead investigations using tiger teams to achieve RCA and drive CLCA.
• Drive the 8D process to address quality issues and process improvements for NPI, production, and sustaining.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (MS is a plus).
• 10+ years of related experience in the Semiconductor or Electronic industries.
• Quality Engineering experience in high-tech manufacturing (preferably networking equipment) and working with contract manufacturing partners.
• Practical knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO/TL 9000).
• Experience establishing quality key performance metrics and driving continuous improvements.
• Experience with PCBA manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, tests/diagnostics, failure analysis, and debug techniques.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Six Sigma approach and methods.
• Basic understanding of ERP systems and supply chain concepts.
