What you will do

• Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and reporting frameworks to promote data integrity and security.
• Monitor data quality, validate and reconcile data, and maintain key assets such as data dictionaries and business glossaries.
• Support data protection practices, including data loss prevention (DLP), sensitive data classification, and security controls.
• Act as a liaison between business units, data teams, and technology stakeholders to define data ownership and reporting requirements.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance activities related to data management.
• Provide guidance and training to promote organizational data and AI literacy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data governance, compliance, risk, or reporting, preferably within a financial institution.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL) and reporting platforms such as Power BI.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, quality frameworks, and regulatory reporting processes.
• Knowledge of privacy requirements and data security practices.
• Must be based in or have the ability to work in Northern Ontario.

Nice to have

• Professional certification in data governance (e.g., CDMP) or regulatory compliance.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Purview.
