What you will do

• Collaborate with the Art Director to execute the project's visual lighting direction.
• Design and implement real-time lighting setups in Unreal Engine.
• Translate concept art and mood boards into atmospheric in-game environments.
• Partner with material and environment artists to ensure assets respond believably to light.
• Support gameplay, narrative beats, and player focus through intentional lighting design.
• Contribute to the refinement of lighting pipelines, tools, and documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience shipping at least one AAA game or a project of comparable scale.
• Deep knowledge of real-time lighting workflows within Unreal Engine.
• Strong understanding of color theory, light behavior, and emotional tone.
• Proficiency in real-world lighting principles, including luminance, illuminance, and exposure settings.
• Ability to interpret mood boards, photography, and cinematic references.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with technical and art teams.
