Software Engineer III (Python/TypeScript)

Base pay for Washington applicants: $164,652–$230,512.80 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable production software using modern programming languages.
• Build and manage APIs and integrations across microservices and other systems.
• Deploy applications and services on AWS using cloud-native, highly available, and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Own the application lifecycle from design and requirements definition through deployment, optimization, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
• Diagnose complex technical issues and improve code quality, testing, monitoring, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of software development experience with Python and TypeScript.
• Experience with React, AWS cloud services, infrastructure as code, APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building, deploying, integrating, shipping, and maintaining production applications.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools, performance optimization, and DevOps practices.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or asylees.

Nice to have

• AWS or other cloud technology certifications.
• Experience with GenAI solutions, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, or fine-tuning.
• Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Agile, manufacturing, or aerospace experience.
