Senior Software Engineer II - Digital Engineering (Aerospace)

Location: Littleton, Colorado, United States; based at the Littleton site

Base pay range: $130,000–$170,000 USD annually, plus potential stock or cash incentives.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain simulation and modeling tools for aerospace systems, including flight and ground software.
• Develop mission-level wargaming tools covering space, air, and ground domains.
• Build products for analyzing laser communication constellation networks.
• Develop cross-platform web applications for Windows and Linux using scalable architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Apply UI/UX practices and optimize software performance for large-scale simulations and data processing.
• Collaborate on requirements, architecture, design reviews, coding, testing, deployment, and code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of software development experience focused on simulation, modeling, or aerospace systems.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET, Angular or a similar frontend framework, TypeScript/JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, or SQLite.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements; U.S. office roles are subject to ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in a related technical field.
• Docker/Kubernetes, network programming, real-time data exchange, or advanced Angular state management experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted rapid prototyping, STK or similar space mission analysis tools, physical-system modeling, Git, and Agile/Scrum.
• UI/UX design experience and strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
