TL;DR

Research Scientist (ML/SAR): Developing Machine Learning based Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) techniques for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data with an accent on RF sensor data analysis and physics-based signature estimation. Focus on designing signal processing algorithms and prototyping Near Real Time (NRT) systems for remotely sensed data.

Location: Beavercreek, OH (Onsite). Active Secret Clearance required.

What you will do

• Design and develop signal processing and ML techniques to solve complex SAR ATR sensing challenges.
• Perform R&D on remotely sensed data to develop Near Real Time (NRT) algorithms.
• Collaborate with teams to prototype and deploy NRT system capabilities.
• Provide technical input for analysis reports and briefings regarding algorithm enhancement and tool development.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance.
• BS in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Matlab, or C/C++.
• Experience and understanding of RF signature, ATR, and ML phenomenologies specific to remote sensing applications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Active Top Secret Clearance.
• MS in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of SAR image formation.
• Working knowledge of state-of-the-art ML techniques for SAR ATR.
• Experience working in R&D and data analysis environments.
