What you will do

• Design and implement model architectures, training and fine-tuning foundation models using diverse datasets.
• Develop and manage data pipelines, including governance, provenance tracking, and quality checks.
• Execute experiments in simulators and on physical robots to validate performance and create baselines.
• Write maintainable code and contribute to training infrastructure and evaluation tools.
• Conduct research on state-of-the-art foundation models and contribute to technical reports and publications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of scientists and engineers to integrate AI with robotics hardware.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience building ML models or algorithms.
• 2+ years of experience in deep learning, computer vision, or human-robot interaction.
• Proven track record of patents or publications in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and numerical optimization.
• Location: Must be based in Sunnyvale, CA, USA

Nice to have

• Experience in SOTA deep learning architecture design and model pruning.
• Experience applying theoretical models in a practical, applied environment.
