What you will do

  • Ensure powertrain components and systems meet design, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to facilitate smooth transitions from design to production.
  • Support the development of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) techniques including PFMEAs and Control Plans.
  • Lead the establishment of inspection plans and conduct First Article Inspections per SAE AS9102.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives using root cause analysis and CAPA.
  • Assist in planning and executing company inspections in support of FAA certification processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or highly regulated industries.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship available.
  • Proficiency with APQP, Control Plans, PPAP, DFM, MSA, PFMEA, and SPC.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and quality standards like AS9100 and AS9102.
  • Experience with MES systems and electronic inspection planning.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SAP, CAD, PLM, and ERP software.
  • Six Sigma Black/Green Belt or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
  • Experience with FAA conformity inspections and designees.
  • Coding experience in Python or VBA.
  • Knowledge of EV/eVTOL technologies.
