TL;DR

Location: Must be based in the United States (Remote eligible, with a preference for Anchorage, AK).

What you will do

  • Develop and implement strategic public policy plans aligned with business and regulatory objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for advocacy before the Alaska State Legislature and administrative agencies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with state officials, legislative staff, and key policy stakeholders.
  • Manage state PAC activities, including fundraising strategies and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external lobbyists to ensure unified advocacy positions.
  • Research and analyze legislative issues to provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Law, Public Policy, or related field.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in government affairs, public policy, legal, or regulatory roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing advocacy strategies at the state level.
  • Comprehensive understanding of state-level legislative and regulatory processes.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex issues persuasively.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degrees such as Juris Doctor or Master’s in Public Policy.
  • Experience working within the telecommunications industry or highly regulated environments.
  • Established network of relationships with policymakers and industry associations.
