What you will do
- Perform venipunctures and finger sticks while maintaining specimen integrity.
- Verify patient identification and test requisitions to ensure accuracy.
- Manage specimen tracking, logging, and quality control documentation.
- Resolve unusual test orders by coordinating with physicians and nursing staff.
- Handle logistical tasks including patient report management and courier scheduling.
- Provide support for billing inquiries and patient follow-up.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Phlebotomy Certificate (if required by State)
- Ability to adhere to JCAHO standards and federal/state regulations
- Must complete HIPAA/PHI privacy and security training within 30 days of hire
