Sr Phlebotomist

Location: Must be based in San Antonio, TX (Stone Oak). This is an onsite position.

What you will do

• Verify test requisitions and patient identification to ensure accuracy.
• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks while maintaining aseptic technique.
• Track collected specimens and maintain detailed quality-control logs.
• Resolve unusual test orders by coordinating with physicians and laboratory staff.
• Manage patient reports and handle billing inquiries.
• Coordinate specimen pickups with courier services.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy Certificate (if required by State).
• Ability to adhere to JCAHO standards and federal/state regulations.
• Must complete HIPAA/PHI privacy and security training within the first 30 days.
