What you will do

• Implement high-level application software, interaction workflows, and robotic behavioral state machines/behavior trees.
• Develop intent-to-action orchestration that converts speech, gestures, and contextual cues into deterministic robotic tasks.
• Fuse multi-modal inputs by integrating vision pipelines (object detection, scene understanding, spatial tracking) with voice interactions.
• Engineer voice applications (STT, NLU, dialog management, wake-word detection, TTS) and build agentic workflows using LLMs/VLMs, memory, tool calling, and reasoning.
• Integrate and orchestrate robot capability services (navigation, manipulation, perception, device control) and partition logic across edge and cloud.
• Contribute to telemetry, evaluation, testing, observability, CI/CD, and production deployment readiness.

Requirements

• Location: Remote in the USA
• Strong proficiency with BehaviorTree.CPP, state machines, workflow orchestration engines, or task-planning architectures.
• Hands-on experience building applications using LLMs/VLMs, tool-calling architectures, agent frameworks, RAG, or semantic memory platforms.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering using Python and/or C++.
• Experience designing scalable application-layer software (API-driven systems, distributed services, event-driven architectures).
• Experience optimizing software for resource-constrained edge hardware under intermittent connectivity, plus cloud AI/model serving and containerized deployments.
