Salary: $154,600 – $180,000

What you will do

• Lead the redesign and scaling of the Semantic Layer Web Service into an automated, high-availability enterprise intelligence platform.
• Architect and deploy Hybrid Graph/Vector search (GraphRAG) to enable complex global reasoning across disparate data assets.
• Build high-performance backend services using Python and FastAPI to bridge core enterprise data with Agentic AI.
• Collaborate with Data Science to implement intelligent routing logic between Small Language Models (SLMs) and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Develop automated workflows for Ontology Management and Entity Linking to eliminate manual curation bottlenecks.
• Establish rigorous AI evaluation frameworks using metrics like Faithfulness and Context Precision (RAGAS) to ensure quality.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and FastAPI within asynchronous production environments.
• Deep understanding of Knowledge Representation, Ontologies, and Graph Reasoning.
• Professional experience with Vector Databases, Hybrid Search, and advanced RAG strategies (HyDE, Reranking).
• Experience deploying and managing scalable AI services in cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Must be based in or be able to work in a hybrid-remote capacity from Irvine, CA.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI evaluation frameworks such as RAGAS and DeepEval.
• Experience with model abstraction tools like ADK.
• Knowledge of synthetic data generation and advanced prompt engineering.
