What you will do

• Own the end-to-end month-end close process and board reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead technical accounting, statutory accounts under FRS 102, and tax/regulatory compliance including CAA reporting.
• Manage cashflow forecasting, treasury, and lender reporting to maintain financial health.
• Partner with operational budget holders to provide in-depth analysis and actionable financial insights.
• Drive the evolution of the finance stack by implementing automation and improving financial controls.
• Line manage a team of five, overseeing day-to-day transactional finance and supporting their professional development.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 4–5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Financial Controller in a scaleup environment.
• Proven track record in statutory audit management and end-to-end month-end close.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and advanced financial modeling skills.
• Experience with cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Bristol, UK for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Travel-sector experience and familiarity with ATOL/CAA reporting.
• Experience in a PE/VC-backed or high-growth SME.
• Experience managing multiple currencies at volume.
• Experience migrating or implementing ERP/finance systems.
