What you will do

• Define strategy and roadmap for observability systems including metrics, logs, and traces.
• Lead and mentor a team of senior engineers and technical leads.
• Drive platform reliability, performance improvements, and architectural decisions.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and application engineering teams to improve instrumentation.
• Scale telemetry systems, storage backends, and query layers to meet business needs.
• Manage hiring and team development in a high-growth environment.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person (citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) due to export control regulations.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production systems at scale.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience leading senior engineers.
• Experience building and operating observability platforms in distributed systems.
• Knowledge of reliability engineering concepts like SLOs, SLIs, and incident management.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Prometheus-compatible systems.
• Familiarity with capacity planning for high-ingest telemetry systems.
• Experience supporting large-scale AI/ML infrastructure.
