Staff Field Engineer (Observability)

Location: Sweden (Remote)

OTE compensation range: 1,098,000–1,320,000 SEK, plus RSUs.

What you will do

• Support strategic deals and customer engagements by collaborating with Solution Engineers and Observability Architects on complex technical challenges.
• Act as a recognized subject matter expert in a Grafana Platform area and create reference architectures that address competitive objections.
• Create and maintain workshops, how-to guides, demo scripts, and other technical enablement content in partnership with Enablement and Product Management.
• Architect and maintain reliable, secure production infrastructure for demos, workshops, and proof-of-value environments.
• Influence product planning, support customer adoption of new technologies, and represent Field Engineering at marketing events.
• Provide technical guidance, improve documentation, contribute to technical publications, and mentor Solution Engineers and Field Engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of related technical experience, including 2+ years as a Senior Field Engineer or equivalent.
• Expertise in Grafana and at least one area of the Grafana Platform, with broad knowledge of observability technologies such as Loki, Prometheus, Tempo, Elastic, Splunk, or Datadog.
• Expertise in an adjacent domain such as IoT or AI/ML, plus experience creating technical training assets adopted by a field organization.
• Experience partnering with Product Management and Engineering, influencing roadmaps, and delivering workshops, demos, webinars, videos, and other strategic technical content.
• Working knowledge of a modern programming language, software development lifecycle, debugging, investigation, and Linux.
• Experience architecting cloud applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP using technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, serverless, and microservices.
