What you will do

• Lead end-to-end mission operations design, including CONOPS, flight rules, and contingency procedures.
• Define operational requirements for space and ground segments and develop software tools for telemetry and command generation.
• Collaborate with systems engineering and subsystem leads to optimize spacecraft design for safety and observability.
• Direct operational rehearsals and anomaly simulations to certify flight controllers.
• Manage real-time flight operations during LEOP and routine mission phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish industry standards for mission assurance.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of practical experience in satellite or spacecraft operations and development.
• Deep technical understanding of spacecraft design, GNC, and on-orbit operations.
• Experience creating operational handbooks, plans, and flight procedures.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust).
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
