Salary: $170,000 - $243,000

What you will do

• Develop complete mission concepts based on customer needs.
• Perform mission-level analysis and manage all top-level mission budgets.
• Define requirements and design for missions and various payloads.
• Use software tools and code to explore engineering trade studies and system design.
• Evaluate spacecraft performance and constellation configurations.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to ensure products meet mission objectives.

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in a related engineering field with 12+ years of experience in space missions.
• Proven experience in spacecraft and space mission design.
• Proficiency in Python, Julia, Matlab, C, or C++.
• Must be a U.S. person (citizen, national, green card holder, refugee, or asylee) due to export control (ITAR/EAR) requirements.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Ability to travel to Mountain View, CA for critical milestones.

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrared Instruments or missions involving missile warning, tracking, and defense.
• Experience supporting science teams in mission development.
• Expertise in designing and operating spacecraft constellations.
