Trade Surveillance Analyst 1 — Financial Crimes Department (Financial Crime Compliance): Supporting Securities’ BSA/AML, Anti-Fraud, and Securities Fraud Monitoring programs by leading investigations and building a scalable, risk-based compliance infrastructure. What you will do
- Collaborate with the AMLCO to implement and refine investigative procedures across CIP/KYC, AML, Anti-Fraud, and Securities Fraud Monitoring.
- Conduct in-depth investigations into suspicious activity, including securities fraud, account manipulation, and other financial crimes from monitoring alerts and referrals.
- Prepare, document, and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in line with FinCEN requirements and internal policies.
- Review and respond to sanctions screening alerts, FinCEN 314(a) and 314(b) requests, and other regulatory inquiries.
- Maintain and update firm-wide risk assessments for BSA/AML, sanctions, fraud, and securities surveillance programs.
- Support internal stakeholders and external audits/examinations, and help develop policies, procedures, monitoring controls, and compliance reporting.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in financial crime investigations (AML, fraud, securities fraud, or related disciplines).
- Strong understanding of US regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML, USA PATRIOT Act, and SEC/FINRA regulations.
- Ability to identify and escalate potential market manipulation or suspicious trading activity.
- Proficiency with transaction monitoring systems and case management tools.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills, including SAR writing.
- Working knowledge of domestic and international payment systems.
