TL;DR

Trade Surveillance Analyst 1 — Financial Crimes Department (Financial Crime Compliance): Supporting hirify.global Securities’ BSA/AML, Anti-Fraud, and Securities Fraud Monitoring programs by leading investigations and building a scalable, risk-based compliance infrastructure. Focus on identifying suspicious trading and market manipulation, managing SAR documentation, and responding to sanctions screening and FinCEN 314(a)/(b) requests.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with the AMLCO to implement and refine investigative procedures across CIP/KYC, AML, Anti-Fraud, and Securities Fraud Monitoring.
  • Conduct in-depth investigations into suspicious activity, including securities fraud, account manipulation, and other financial crimes from monitoring alerts and referrals.
  • Prepare, document, and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in line with FinCEN requirements and internal policies.
  • Review and respond to sanctions screening alerts, FinCEN 314(a) and 314(b) requests, and other regulatory inquiries.
  • Maintain and update firm-wide risk assessments for BSA/AML, sanctions, fraud, and securities surveillance programs.
  • Support internal stakeholders and external audits/examinations, and help develop policies, procedures, monitoring controls, and compliance reporting.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in financial crime investigations (AML, fraud, securities fraud, or related disciplines).
  • Strong understanding of US regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML, USA PATRIOT Act, and SEC/FINRA regulations.
  • Ability to identify and escalate potential market manipulation or suspicious trading activity.
  • Proficiency with transaction monitoring systems and case management tools.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills, including SAR writing.
  • Working knowledge of domestic and international payment systems.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Google Sheets or MS Excel (pivot tables and advanced filtering).
