What you will do

• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of technical programs and projects.
• Provide technical leadership and coordination for the conservation and sustainable use of PGRFA.
• Direct the review of relevant documents and reports for the Governing Body of the International Treaty.
• Liaise with relevant parties and stakeholders to identify priorities and initiate follow-up actions.
• Support the Governing Body in carrying out its functions and assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in agronomy or biological sciences with specialization in plant genetic resources.
• Proven work experience in more than one location or area of work, particularly in field positions.
• Strong leadership and technical expertise in planning and implementing complex projects.
• Ability to adhere to hirify.global values of integrity, transparency, and respect for all.
• Must be medically fit for appointment and able to meet residency/visa requirements for Italy.

Nice to have

• Doctoral degree in agronomy or biological sciences.
