What you will do

• Develop and execute the group’s funding strategy in collaboration with the Group Leader.
• Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including scientific narrative structuring and drafting.
• Manage awarded grants, ensuring compliance with milestones, deliverables, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate day-to-day lab operations and support group administration.
• Maintain the group’s web presence and organize scientific workshops and events.

Requirements

• Proven track record of securing research grants, ideally from EU or international funders.
• English: C1+ proficiency required for drafting complex technical narratives.
• Strong understanding of the European research funding landscape (e.g., Horizon Europe, ERC).
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Collaborative and proactive working style.

Nice to have

• PhD in computer science, life sciences, or a related field.
• Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or computational biology.
• Experience in organizing scientific events.
• Knowledge of Italian.
