What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic running on mainframes.
• Refactor legacy code to enable seamless interaction between mainframe core data and modern cloud/mobile applications.
• Monitor system architecture and optimize code to maintain and enhance mainframe performance.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions to ensure mission-critical application stability.
• Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a software engineer on complex software projects.
• Solid development and coding skills in Java, Python, or .NET, including debugging and problem-solving.
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, containers (Docker & Kubernetes), and messaging queues.
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.
• Must be based in Madrid, Spain.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Certifications in hyperscalers such as Azure, AWS, or Google GCP.
• Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices.
