What you will do

• Own end-to-end build program execution, including schedule, resourcing, and readiness gates.
• Hire, manage, and develop the pilot technician team, establishing structure and career paths.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and quality.
• Maintain build readiness plans and drive open items to closure.
• Manage the transition of manufacturing processes from prototype to production plant.
• Monitor build health, yield, and KPIs to report to executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience in NPI, prototype build, or manufacturing engineering in hardware.
• 2–3+ years of experience managing a technician or build team.
• Proven experience transitioning work from prototype to production manufacturing.
• Ability to work on-site in a factory floor environment.
• Strong communication skills to hold cross-functional teams accountable.

Nice to have

• Background in power electronics or energy storage hardware.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, or similar industrialization frameworks.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for program tracking.
• Experience with cost-down or VAVE initiatives.
