What you will do

• Develop and optimize large-scale software for risk metric calculations using Java, Scala, and Python.
• Performance tune applications to improve CPU and memory utilization for high-load systems.
• Build internal and external reporting for risk metrics using SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau.
• Design and support batch processes using scheduling infrastructure such as Apache Airflow.
• Implement data solutions using distributed HDFS systems and databases like Snowflake and Sybase IQ.
• Mentor and oversee junior technical team members throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience working with risk technology teams in a large financial institution.
• Proven expertise in credit risk management functions, processes, and regulatory deliverables.
• Strong proficiency in software development, including data structures, algorithms, and core programming concepts.
• Technical stack: Scala, Java, Python, Spark, Linux, shell scripting, and TDD (JUnit).
• Experience with major relational/object databases and process scheduling platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with parallel computation on a single machine (e.g., DASK).
• Knowledge of distributed processing on Public Cloud platforms.
