Facilities Chemical/Gas System Engineer

Location: Must be based in Albuquerque, New Mexico (On-site)

What you will do

• Provide engineering expertise for factory support equipment including vacuum pumps, abatement units, and heat exchangers.
• Manage system troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and capacity planning to meet operational demands.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Oversee project scopes, budgets, schedules, and commissioning for equipment installations and upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including installation procedures and commissioning checklists.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 1+ year of hands-on experience in chemical/gas systems (internships, projects, or training).
• Knowledge of chemical compatibility, high-purity gases, and process control statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with materials of construction for chemical and gas systems infrastructure.
• Must be able to work on-site in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Nice to have

• Experience with vacuum pumps, point-of-use abatement systems, chillers, and heat exchangers.
• Hands-on experience in startup and commissioning of facilities systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
