TL;DR

Service Engineering Technician (Automotive): Developing and validating complex repair strategies and troubleshooting hirify.global Driver components with an accent on hardware diagnostics and vehicle integration. Focus on performing maintenance on mechanical and electrical components, building test rigs, and implementing workshop standards.

Location: Hybrid; must be based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (in-office at least 3 days per week)

Salary: $35.75 - $51.75 per hour

What you will do

• Perform diagnostics, test-plans, and vehicle upgrades for hirify.global Driver components.
• Maintain complex mechanical and electrical components and troubleshoot hardware.
• Build and set up test rigs for mechanical and electrical testing across multiple teams.
• Document findings and collaborate cross-functionally with Systems, Reliability, and Fleet Operations teams.
• Assemble prototypes and parts using mechanical fabrication tools (drill press, saws, etc.).
• Develop and implement improved workshop standards, protocols, and processes.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of OEM Technician experience.
• 1-3 years of experience with Autonomous Vehicles (AV) or Electric Vehicles (EV).
• Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with OEM diagnostic tools.
• Experience with JIRA.
• Must be based in Pittsburgh, PA to support a hybrid work model (minimum 3 days/week in office).

Nice to have

• Direct manufacturing and prototyping experience.
• Prior experience specifically working with autonomous vehicles.
• Experience troubleshooting CAN bus issues.
